Meta Post - Refuge

When I was reading through the other posts, I noticed a lot of people were focusing on the emotional aspect of the essay, especially the section about the burrowing owls. But there was also some focus on the spiritual aspect in the essay. All in all, I think most of the posters are concerned about how we are connected to nature and how these connections affect us. I also think they are wondering how these connections can push us into motion when we find out that the environment around us is being harmed by new groups, like the hunters and the burrowing owls in the essay.
